Israel's Peres: Iran should be expelled from United Nations

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran should be expelled from the United Nations after its new president said Israel should be "wiped off the map," Israeli Vice Premier Shimon Peres said Thursday.

"Since the United Nations was established in 1945, there has never been a head of state that is a U.N. member state that publicly called for the elimination of another U.N. member state," Peres told Israel Radio.

"There has never been such a scandal. It is impossible to ignore this and close your ears," said Peres, a Nobel peace laureate, adding there is no place in the world body for such a country.

In a speech Wednesday, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said "there is no doubt that the new wave (of attacks) in Palestine will wipe off this stigma (Israel) from the face of the Islamic world."

Ahmadinejad spoke during a Tehran conference called "The World without Zionism."

Well, My point is proved. These Middle Eastern Countries just seem to exist merely for the sole purpose of the destruction of a 5-mile area. Hm. This sort of thing really shows the inner intent of those who really hate Jews but say they hate "Zionism." Stop calling your hate "anti-zionism" call it by it's true name; Anti-Semitism. Honestly, if you hate the country of the Jews, you hate the Jews themselves. When a liberal (or frog [by frog I mean a frenchman]) says "I hate America" that means they hate "Americans." So this side stepping term "zionist" is the new term that keeps them from seeming to be Nazis.

You Know What Really Grinds My Gears?

What really "grinds my gears" is when people do not put their supermarket carts back. Honestly, how lazy do you have to be not to walk something that takes little effort a few feet? That's not the worst. The worst is when they put them in empty parking spots which blocks cars from parking there. They put them half on the curb, half on the sidewalk or planter and expect them just to vanish back into the market. They figure that the supermarket hires people to do it, so they are free from every aspect of pushing that cart. This is simply not true, the markets hire people to do it; thus costing the market money, because people don't put their carts away. The cart-dont-putter-awayers simply believe, out of total lack of consideration, that it is not their problem. This "problem" is carried over to people who are, in some way, inconvenienced by these carts. If anyone does this, or knows someone; please put your/their reasoning in a comment. Does anyone else agree with me on this?

Why I Support Israel

It confuses me when I am called a Nazi. I was, if you do not already know, at a protest (Counter-Protesting of course), and was labeled as such. Ten minutes later, I began to hear anti-"Zionist" sentiments uttered from the mouths of those who had just accused me of the crime they were now committing. If you are anti-Israel, you are anti-Jew. This hypocracy has been going on a lot recently. First of all, I was born (by Jewish Law) a Jew. Second of all, I fully support Israel. I, in fact, (I am sorry Jake) prefer Judaism over Christianity for several reasons which shall not be mentioned here for the sole reason that it does not pertain to the topic, but I shall state that it has nothing to do with my heritage, but it must be said that I do not believe in any foundations of Religion; only God.

Recently, Israel gave up the Gaza Strip as an attempt to create peace between themselves and Palestine. After Palestine acquired this land, the civilians of said country completely destroyed every inch (including the temples) of the land. Now Palestine is asking for money to rebuild. This hypocracy on behalf of Palestine is infuriating. To make matters worse Hamas is now gathering militant troops and is launching rockets over the wall. Is this the promised peace? No. This is why I support Israel. Palestine makes no effort to create peace, only an effort to gain land.

Bump: The Liberal Mindset when it Comes to Economics

The liberal mindset, when it comes to economics, primarily consists of the need to compensate for those who are unable, or refuse, to amass the amount of wealth completely necessary to exist in today’s world. This view is moral and virtuous, but in their attempts to do so, they impress upon others their need. Therefore, the morality that existed in the voluntary charity is diminished when the people are forced to also make these charities. These humanitarian actions are in no way evil, but when these charities are taken, against the will of the people, and become laws or taxes, it has become an act against our own unalienable rights. Socialism in this aspect sacrifices our right to own property.

Social taxes such as these do not benefit the majority of the people, only a small minority; who in no way have the right to obtain or possess the properties of another. Those who constantly work for what they own are constantly penalized for success, and the hard labors of these people are given, with no secure compensations, to those who can not and in many cases do not work. There will always be those who need this, but for how long? These forced charities do not motivate the receivers to attempt to pull themselves out of these holes. The taxation of the people in this way is an unjust unsuccessful solution to the problems of the poor. Liberals justify these taxations by convincing themselves that the wealthy can afford such taxes and that they (the rich), achieved the money that they possess, they own (that which is their property) through uncouth or demonic means. By assuming this, they effectively persecute a whole group for the unproved deeds of others. Any persecution in this fashion is a direct violation of our existential beliefs. The persecution of the wealthy is the economic equivalent of taxing people more because they are black or Jewish. How can anyone justify these actions?

The belief that the rich “can afford it” is completely irrelevant, merely a petty excuse for the unjustified thievery on behalf of “the poor.” Those who find these taxes unfair are unlikely to pay them in the end. The means to do this exists, however is usually not deemed necessary for those who are fairly taxed. Therefore lowering taxes eventually leads to the wealthy, after finding these taxes just, become more willing to pay. However, the liberals do just the opposite, not clearly seeing that the unpaid taxes are the result of already too much tax. Thus, they believe that the loss by unfulfilled taxation means that they have to raise taxes that much higher to recuperate these losses. This inevitably causes the wealthy to view this as an insane persecution attempt by the jealous.

These taxes are then shifted to the middle class, who now pays the majority of the taxes in this country. The unjustifiable actions taken by the liberal economic mindset leads to the indirect victimization of the middle class; the working class, who then become our nation’s poor, unable to completely support the taxes ordered by those who believe themselves saints; taxation in the name of charity. Is this not tyranny? Is this not a crime? It is both, it is also the reason our forefathers rebelled, the reason our forefathers started the revolution. We, as the people of the United States must act now before the taxation leads to the revolution that will only spill the blood of those who try to better our beloved country. Shall we stand idly by as our country denigrates into the complete loss of economic freedom? Shall we let our country corrupt into socialism or worse, communism? We must act, if nothing else; we must act to save ourselves, our liberty, and our country.

This is pretty funny; basically Chris Matthews talks about Karl Rove and Scooter Libby five thousand times over a short period of time. Obviously he is somewhat invested in these two people.
This whole Plame situation has become way out of hand. The liberals are calling for Karl Rove's head; I know, I get the MoveOn.Org "newsletter" (informational purposes only) and are overjoyed that the leak came from a Republican, and one of Bush's right hand man at that. The media is angry that Judith Miller had to reveal her sources crying out first amendment and otehr such arguments. Fitzgerald is trying to bring up charges of crimal consipiracy by a group of senior Bush Administration officials. Whatever the outcome, it is not going to help our President's poll ratings. The dems are practically jumping around in ecstasy over this controversy. This whole thing is a bundled mess, all over a tiny leak. Well, it will be a few weeks before we actually get to see the outcome. That's all about Scooter and Rove. Thanks to The Political Teen for this.

American English closer to 17th Century English

Ok...I'm sitting here listening to Dennis Prager, who has on as his guest, Paul Johnson, talking about Mr. Johnson's book, 'George Washington', and it came out that Paul Johnson claims American pronunciation is much closer to 17th century English accents, because Americans were more conservative in retaining their English accents than their British counterparts were. That it is in fact the British whose accents have evolved. Whaaa-?!? Anyone here a linguist?"

That actually makes a lot of sense (if true). In my opinion (if it is true), we are not exactly the same as we have become far more rough verbally than that in the 1700's. Although why British English has evolved to that point completely leaves me confused. Soon we are going to have to call American English just plain American. I would not mind speaking American. BAGHDAD, Iraq — The trial of Saddam Hussein (search) took startling turns Thursday when prosecutors said the first witness would be a bedridden cancer patient who helped run Iraq's feared intelligence agency. In the first setback, a lawyer for one of the dictator's co-defendants was kidnapped.

Wow. I guess they the Iraqis really don't want Saddam and his buddies around anymore. They obviously do not want them to win, so by stealing the lawyer the kidnappers figured that Saddam's buddy would be done for. Unfortunately, they should not have done this in the first place, although it proves how much Saddam and his crew are despised by Iraqis.

This is disturbing:

On the French-controlled island of Reunion in the Indian Ocean, live dogs have been reportedly impaled on large fish hooks and left overnight in the ocean as shark bait. One consistent detail of the story was that a puppy that had somehow managed to free itself from the fishing line, was found alive in a creek bed, the hook still embedded in its upper lip."

This really upsets me. How can people do this to helpless domesticated animals? What is their motivation? They use them for shark bait (which isn't that delectable anyway) for no reason other than because they can. Thanks to Honest Dissent for this article. I just hope they can do something before more dogs are killed.

Economic Socialism

I just do not get how people can support or even believe in Economic Socialism. All of you Socialists please comment below telling me the benefits, because I only see the negative effects of Government Controlled Business. Now, I do not want the excuses why Capitalism is bad, I just want the benefits of Socialism. Anyways, I do not get how liberals can be upset over Bush whom they claim to be trying to give the Government more power. Is it that they do not want Republican power or is it just hypocrisy because they do not like him? I mean socialism wants almost complete control government-wise. Do you not find it horrific that these gas companies are getting bought out by the country of China? If they come to own all the gas business they can completely control the prices; as they have no true anti-trust laws. This in the end hurts the citizens of the US, since we are so dependent upon oil. Is it not awful that our hard-earned dollars are going to China who hardly benefits their own citizens. The one child law that China has is leaving thousands of babies in the dirty alleys. We support this oppression when we fill up our tanks. We support their abuse of basic civil liberties when we buy gas. This can not be allowed, corporations and businesses can not become the property of countries such as China.
Government owned business oppresses the will to be successful, the right to have equal rights. Socialism makes a taco bell worker get paid the same amount as a highly trained doctor. Is this right? Are our doctors fated to become minimum wage employees? Who would then become doctors? No one. When the shortage of doctors becomes apparent, inadequate doctors will come forward; are we to trust an untrained person with our lives? No. This is why socialism, in my opinion, only causes harm. Our self independence erodes as everyone belongs to everyone else; we become the Orwellian nightmare represented in The Brave New World. Our lives become meaningless; all that consists of living is hedonistic pleasure. How is this progressive? It isn't. It is detrimental to our selves and our futures.

I am sick...

I am sickened by the anti-conservative liberals. I want to thank all the Liberals out there who provide evidence, facts, and are able to carry on a sophisticated debate. There are Conservatives who do the same thing; however, they usually give reasonable explanations of their positions, not because they are smarter or whatever, but because they have to (I'm not really going to get into all that right now). Now, sites like http://republicanfreeamerica.blogspot.com just infuriate me. How can anyone call for the destruction of fellow Americans just because they do not hold the same beliefs? I am also sick of the insults of Bush without any factual basis. I am sick of being called racist, a nazi, a fascist. I am not these things. Most of us aren't. A note to all the liberals out there that believe that all Republicans or Conservatives are Christian. We are not all Christian. They call themselves progressive and yet they make remarks such as these? How is this equal? They Bush a fascist and yet they love Communism, which coincidentally is based upon a huge government. They choose Stalin over Mousolini, how are they different? Why should I be looked down upon because I believe in economic freedom as well as personal freedom? I would like to take a quote from www.younglibs.com/blog: "We're not Saying Conservatives Are Stupid, But A Lot of Stupid People Are Conservatives." Well, let's change that around a bit to see how this equates racially. "We're not Saying Blacks Are Stupid, But A Lot of Stupid People Are Black." I sincerely hope that these people take a good long look at themselves and wonder why it's not okay to stereotype racially, but stereotype politically. I would like to apologize to the real liberals for every Conservative that has, in some way, said anything derogatory about you. I eternally respect anyone who can take a position and defend it. I would also like to thank the people (most of them) who are on the corner at our government center the first friday of every month protesting the war. David (the guy I argued Economics with for the whole time we were counter protesting) I want to thank you for actually listening and responding civilly, if not for people like you; I would totally reject all liberalism. Once we get to the core of people, we all are truly nice people. The fact that some people can't see it just saddens me. Jon Stewart...Partisan Hack?

I just want to bring up something about the God of the Liberals, Jon Stewart. Evidently he can call other people partisan hack, yet his show is completely neutral. Although he is certainly funny, he thinks too much of himself as do far to many Liberals. The guy is a comedian, not a political genius. Everything he says is not fact. Ho ho Ho, he made fun of Bush; He is a genius. My god, his show is far from neutral. So, his hypocracy is further prolonged by the artificial intelligence that liberals believe as complete and utter truth. His show is so "bi"partisan that it makes moderate liberal media look Conservative. Last time I checked, the media was bashing President (NOT FASCIST FUHRER) Bush at every turn. Furthermore even more moderate news programs like Fox, which still bashes Bush from time to time, is considered hugely biased conservatively. How Liberal do you have to be to think the media is conservative? Jon Stewart is nothing but a political comedian, he is not the truth, it is only his truth. Please, stop worshipping him; his political bias is disgusting. Unpartisan my Ass (no pun intended).

Woman's Possessions Taken After Ad Error

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) — Kris Bryan couldn't believe it when she came home and realized strangers were taking away her stuff — including her 7-week-old kitten.

A legal notice in the Lawrence Journal-World for unclaimed property mistakenly listed Bryan's address. The notice said the items would be thrown out if they weren't picked up from the apartment.

"I was freaking out," said Bryan, 22. "I told them, 'That's my apartment — there's been some mistake.'"

Sgt. Dan Ward, a spokesman for the Lawrence Police Department, said Bryan confronted the people at her home, who showed her the Journal-World ad. They returned the items they had taken, but others had already made off with an estimated $3,300 worth of possessions — everything from a TV and a DVD player to video games and Bryan's kitten.

Ward said it was unclear how people got into Bryan's home. There were no signs of forced entry and Bryan told authorities she believed her door was locked.

Police are still trying to find her possessions. Despite the ad's confusion, those who took them could also face charges.

"Just that ad in the newspaper doesn't give someone permission to go in and take items," Bryan said.

Yea. I just want to know, What the hell is wrong with people? Honestly; the f**cking kitten? Okay, this sort of thing really pisses me off. Do you see liberals? This is what happens when people take advantage of the system, human nature disallows socialism purely because of people like this. Now, it would have been fine (well not fine, but...) if it had just been one person. But no, there were at least two people who stole, STOLE; knowing full well that stuff was not theirs, yet they remained uncaring about who lived there.

Then the Journal gets in trouble when that mistake should not have caused this theft. First of all, the ad says that the items will get thrown out if they are not picked up. Now, to whoever tried to steal the cat, in your own mind; do you really think they are going to "throw out" a kitten? No. Therefore those people knew, with no excuse like "well, we thought we should since it's gonna get thrown out anyway", that they had no right to that property.

Watch people come to the rescue of these "cat burglars." "They didn't know what they were doing...they thought the ad was real...don't punish them...PUNISH THE CAPITALIST BUSINESSES WHO ARE NEVER ALLOWED TO MAKE AN HONEST MISTAKE." Ugh. Some people (regarding the burglars) just disgust me.

On Liberalism Part 3: On Civil Rights

Slow down America. We are moving too fast. The time where civil rights were absent is long gone. We have our rights. The only things holding us back are those who are trying to forward as fast as they can. Racism would be non-existent except we are constantly reminded by those who call themselves “progressives” that racism does exist. These people assure us we do not have our rights. So, in their attempt to obtain these rights that supposedly do not exist as they should, they create programs such as Affirmative Action. These things cause more racism than equality, because it states that minorities are inferior, therefore must have more rights than others. This overcompensation is dangerous, only existing to remind us that if someone’s color is different, it means they are different. When we were young we did not truly believe that black people were different, it was our parents, teachers, and adults that told us “they are special or different.” Different is a vile word, and is constantly misused for the sake of explaining that which is not identical. Had we not been told they are or whoever was different, we would not view them as such. Children are not born racist, society makes it so. Therefore, when the progressive liberals insist on teaching children about differences, they use words such as “special.” This is the cause of racism today. Ignorance is Bliss. How can a child or anyone be racist if they do not know how to be a racist? Most people are not racist, or sexist, or whatever. The majority of the people could not care whether a person is black or white. Racism or any kind of discrimination has become a very touchy subject and in fact leading to a whole verb conjugation form to become racist. “You People” has become a discriminatory remark for absolutely no reason other than over-sensitivity and neurotic tendencies to believe such things as racist. The word “you” certainly is not racist; the word “people” certainly is not racist. Yet, the combination is. This is ridiculous. When things move fast there is very little time to adjust, which seems to be the main problem. Police officers can not use necessary force against a person if they are black, for fear of reprisal in the form of lawsuits claiming him racist. Our civil rights have been abused by lawsuits, neurotic people, and the claims that such discrimination still exists. The progressives assure themselves that they are doing what is good for the people. I once had the opportunity to speak with some of these “progressives”, and they showed their absolute love of equality and hate for discrimination by mentioning, when asked about why Republicans won in a high majority in the south, that Rednecks always vote Republican. I asked them why they used that certain word, stating that it was the equivalent of calling a black person by a derogatory name (which shall not be mentioned here). Their response truly showed how “progressive” they really were. “Well…that’s what they are…” they responded. So, it seems that only minorities deserve rights and only they can be discriminated against. These progressives were looking so far ahead that they were actually behind. This is what happens when things move too fast; you do not notice that you have finally arrived. We have arrived America, we have those rights; there are still a few bumps in the road, but we have those rights. Now is the time to enjoy them.

On why there can't be stilts

So, like, stilts maybe?

In the wake of stories like this where entire hospital facilities are destroyed and must be rebuilt…

…and considering the fact that the existing floodwalls are not going to withstand even a Cat3 storm next year…

…and considering the fact that the city is still sinking…

…Why doesn’t anyone in Louisiana build anything, you know…off the ground? How’s about building the vital services on big, hurricane-proof concrete pilings? That way in a flood, all that would be destroyed is the way in and out of the first floor. Is there some structural or engineering reason that I don’t get? I know if I had to rebuild my house down there I’d be building it like a Vietnamese house in a rice paddy…up. High. With steps that could easily be replaced should nature try to break my balls again. But there people are just going to try to stop water from doing what water does…regardless of the lessons the water tried to teach them this time.

Someone tell me why this isn’t feasible. Obviously it’s not a viable option or someone would be doing it, right?

JimK, I think it's the fact that building those pillars costs a lot. This is something that the city of New Orleans can not, or will not, pay for. Not only that, considering those pillars have to be reinforeced with steel into the ground. Now, the ground is so soft, that dead bodies can not be buried. This area is pure swampland. There is no way the ground can keep these buildings up if they have pillars. The people of the city refuse to let this peticular city die; so they rebuild. Another storm will come. Another storm will destroy. They will always stay. Do not ask me why; it's just how some people are.

On Liberalism Part 1: On the Will of the People.

Conservatism has always appeased the realistic will of the people; Liberalism has always appeased the ideological will of the people. So, when the goals of a political agenda call for the destruction of the other, they are disregarding the people. Conservatism and Liberalism can not exist without the other, so those who wish the end for either, wish the end for both. Conservatives are constantly criticized for the extremes that exist in every aspect of the political spectrum. Whether Fascists or Monarchs; the beliefs of these radicals do not, and never will, represent both the people and the other conservatives. In this way, Mussolini does not exist in the belief structures of those who truly represent the will of the people. Liberalism was, until very recently, criticized for their extremes as well. However, it has become more and more acceptable to represent the extremist factions of Liberalism; therefore, are continuously ignoring the will of the majority of the people.

This pattern has been closely matched with the necessity, by the people, for freedoms and rights. Extreme conservatism has never valued absolute freedoms, yet the conservatives that exist today value freedoms within reason. The lines between these two have been consistently confused by those who seek for the extinction of such beliefs. Therefore, it becomes absolutely necessary, in the minds of the people, to resist the conservative "view" of politics. Although it is not readily known, extreme Liberalism does not value the rights and freedoms that exist in our economy today. Economic Freedom and Individual liberty must both be respected and balanced; one without the other is not a blessing, but a curse; a body without a soul, a soul without a body. So must conservatism and Liberalism be balanced.

Today, the extremist views of the Left have become acceptable, yet they exist as a small minority in the will for the people. These beliefs, like any that do not represent the majority of the people, are there to do more harm than good, no matter if these goals are benevolent or not. I must call on the people, nay, I must shout for the people, because calling does not do the urgency of this most dire situation justice. You must think. Do not let this mere minority of the people control your beliefs and reform the will of the people into their own diabolical design. Do not let these people convince you; sway you, into believing they represent you or the people. They only represent themselves and their infatuation with the destruction of our basic liberties.

So it looks like Mama Moonbat got arrested today after ignoring orders from
police concerned about the growing crowd outside the White House...who,
unlike the rally this weekend, did not have a permit or any semblance of
organization. There’s a video you can see for yourself (required Real Video...
boo hiss!). Before anyone raises the spectre of violating the First Amendment...
no one said that couldn’t assemble. Assembly, however, has been legally
defined as organized and that requires planning...crowd control...and
permits so the city can provide both policing and protection. You can’t
just show up somewhere with a mob.

Interesting thing to note in the video: Mama Moonbat is smiling her
ass off. Grieving mother, eh? Just wants to protest the war? Really? Why the
smiles when the police showed up, Sheehan? Perhaps this little game
was, oh, I don’t know, orchestrated?

Wow. Look at her face in this one:

It’s like she thinks she’s at Disneyland. You know what? To her...she is.

Another interesting point in the video...she grins like the Cheshire Cat and
makes the cops carry her until she’s just out of the scrum of activists and
reporters...where all of a sudden, she walks on her own. What a carefully
orchestrated little piece of acting that was. In fact, in a rare moment of
honesty, cameras captured Mama Moonbat relaxing before the event:

The part of the video that made me laugh was these aging hippy nutjobs singing
“This Little Light of Mine.” Why not start a bonfire and dance naked in the street for
frig’s sake? Nothing says “I’m desperate to recapture my fiery youth” than old folks
singing songs that were co-opted as protest music in the 60s.

Michael [Moore], you should be proud. You taught her to fake it very, very well.

Honestly, if you want to be a martyr, you don't f**cking smile while you go
down. Something just strikes me as odd; you know, as if this is a little too

The So-called "Peace-Lovers"

It's become more and more apparent to me over the past five years that all the activism and non-violent protesting in the world will do precisely squat. When you're dealing with evil people who have no shame, the old rules of the game don't and, indeed, can't apply if you have any hope for success. Hundreds of thousands of people have marched, millions of letters have been written, tens of millions of votes cast, and hundreds of trillions of electrons expended pontificating on blogs...for nothing. Nothing has changed. Nothing will change. Not unless it comes in the form of something akin to the French Revolution.

We need terror. We need horror. We need the streets running awash in rivers of blood of these thugs and criminals and zealots. Activism didn't prevent 60,000 deaths in Vietnam. All the activism of the Civil Rights era has gotten African Americans precisely nowhere. Segregation may not be the law of the land anymore, but it's still the de facto state of America.

When y'all want to start throwing molotovs and sniping from windows come and talk to me. Until then, I will be content to retire, be a hermit, and laugh at everyone. Even then, I may still just feel like laughing as the world falls apart around me, but at least I'll be willing to listen. --- Raybin

Well, apart from the fact that Activism DID get us out of Vietnam, preventing more deaths and everyone has Civil Rights (still a few kinks such as Affirmative Action) because of those protests; He (or she) pretty much summed up what they wish they could do without legal consequences. How is this promoting peace? Why is it a tragedy when our Soldiers die, but when we die it's fine? When will they finally come to the conclusion that they have way overstepped the line? This disgusts me. If they finally do this; I will be murdered along with my parents in our beds, at work, or wherever, Just because of my opinions. This is the theoretical equal of murdering people just because they are black, white, Jewish, gay; this is not Right, not correct. This person, ladies and gentlemen, is a serial killer. He justifies his threats by basically saying he's fed up. Is this peace? No, this is terror; this is horror; this is the liberal mindset.
